LUCCA, the classic legero ballerina can also be different: in summer it comes with a specially developed, airy knit made of sustainable SEAQUAL® YARN that fits perfectly. The SEAQUAL® YARN used in the outer material consists of 10% recycled marine plastic and 90% recycled PET bottles. NGOs, fishermen and volunteers collect marine plastic and plastic waste from the beaches. The SEAQUAL INITIATIVE processes the marine plastic into yarn, which is then further processed into wonderful textiles by legero +VIOS. Every year, over 12 million tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans, and it is high time to do something about it. That's why we at + VIOS are working together with the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, which upcycles marine plastic and creates something completely new from it. The durable SEAQUAL® YARN in various colours – together with the straps and heels made of soft Nubuck leather – not only ensures a sporty, sophisticated look, but the ballerina also nestles perfectly on the foot and conveys a wonderful feeling of summer and freedom. Thanks to the Velcro strap, you can slip into the shoe in a flash. The reduced profile of the outsole with the integrated flex zone lets the foot roll comfortably and easily. The chrome-free, vegetable-tanned insole is replaceable and can be replaced with orthopaedic or new insoles if necessary. The LUCCA women's ballerina by legero is available in comfort width “G".
